Introducing Byrnai – Music with Purpose and Soul

Formed in 2024, Byrnai is a Rock/Pop band rooted deeply in culture and consciousness. In the Bhoi language, the word “Byrnai” means to preserve, conserve, and carefully protect what remains — saving things bit by bit instead of allowing them to be wasted.

This philosophy goes beyond environmental awareness. It reflects a deeper commitment to preserving talent, culture, values, and artistic integrity. Through their music, Byrnai celebrates identity, heritage, and creative expression, making them a compelling presence on today’s live music stage.

Her early love for music led her to train in vocals, piano, and traditional Khasi instruments, seamlessly blending classical, contemporary, Hindi, and indigenous musical styles.

Her dedication and talent earned her recognition as an Aspire State Star of Meghalaya, and she has recently reached an exciting milestone by becoming a member of the renowned Shillong Chamber Choir — a testament to her growing stature in the Indian music scene.
