About Anaya Brahma
Anaya Brahma is widely celebrated for her contribution to the folk music and cultural heritage of Northeast India. Her artistry has earned her prestigious accolades including the Femina Achievers Award 2025 – Best Folk Singer, Rengoni Music Award 2024 – Best Folk Singer, and the Northeast Unsung Hero Award 2022 (Mumbai).
A native of Assam, Anaya’s music reflects authenticity, emotional depth, and a strong cultural identity—qualities that have made her one of the most respected voices from the region.
Musical Training & Artistic Foundation
Anaya Brahma is a Music graduate from SNDT University, Mumbai, and has received advanced classical training under legendary maestros Ustad Parveen Sultana and Ustad Tauseef Akhtar. This strong foundation allows her to effortlessly blend folk traditions, classical nuances, and contemporary expression, creating a sound that is both rooted and modern.
Playback Singing, Acting & Cinema
Anaya made her Bollywood playback debut in the Hindi film Chaar Din Ki Chandni, where she also appeared on screen. Her film career spans both Bollywood and regional cinema:

She has collaborated with national and regional bands, shared the stage with renowned artists including Udit Narayan, Javed Ali, Mika Singh, Sivamani, and continues to expand her creative expression through concerts, recordings, and independent projects.
Filmmaking & Cultural Preservation
Extending her commitment to cultural storytelling, Anaya Brahma has recently stepped into filmmaking as a producer. She produced a documentary on Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, the visionary leader and former President of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).
The documentary has been released in multiple languages:
